Verb x Sweet Mammalian Micro-Residencies for LitCrawl 2019

In 2019 we had the delight of partnering with Verb Festival to launch issue six during part 1 of the LitCrawl and select five stellar residents for the Micro-Residency programme.

We know how hard it is to find time and space to write, and how important it is to feel like part of a community of writers and artists. The Micro-Residencies are designed to offer a tiny gem of a weekend to let these writers run wild in Wellington. The Micro-Residents were hosted by brilliant art galleries over the Festival weekend, Sat 9 - Sun 10 November.

The Sweet Mammalian x Verb Micro-Residents selected for 2019, and the galleries they wrote in, were:

Jackson Nieuwland - Play Station

Miriama Gemmell - Bowen Galleries

Chris Holdaway - Bartley & Co

Jasmine Gallagher - Meanwhile

Sam Duckor-Jones - Millers O’Brien

As part of Verb Festival, editors Hannah, Rebecca, and Nikki-Lee also talked about the life of the journal's physical form at the All About Zines event on Saturday afternoon.
