I Can’t Wait

I can’t wait

for sunken continents to rise renewed

- where coral crests above the wave’s break -

the benthic rezoned as the dryland’s new empire

 

and what an empire we’ll have here!

The gulls perched on old bones, the old bones heaped skyward

the old sky now the deepest blue to be seen.

 

I want new colours!

Let me dress how a cuttlefish dreams…
